The main Map Alternatives page is meant to be cleaner and only display maps that are currently under consideration..
As part of the redistricting process, the California FAIR MAPS Act includes neighborhoods and “Communities of Interest” as important considerations. California law defines Communities of Interest as “a population that shares common social or economic interests that should be included within a single district for purposes of its effective and fair representation.”

Use the Interactive Review Map to review, analyze, and compare maps, not to create them. Zoom in and out on map boundaries, view population counts/ID#s, and view draft maps (once the draft maps are released). Similar to Google Maps in ease of use.
