Message from Sheriff Taylor:

It is my absolute honor to serve San Benito County as your 16th Sheriff-Coroner. This is your Sheriff’s Office…we are just the fortunate ones who are able to work here.

We have so much to be proud of in our county. We have the breathtaking Pinnacles National Park, a world-class Off-Highway-Vehicle recreation area at Hollister Hills, a strong ranching and farming history, and a first-class wine industry.  We also enjoy a small town/hometown way of life where neighbors help neighbors.

Our two biggest weeks in the county are the San Benito County Saddle Horse Show and Rodeo in June and our San Benito County Fair in October. We really have a close-knit community here and many of our Deputy Sheriffs and Correctional Officers are from this county.

We have made many strides forward as an office. None is more important than the fact we are delivering quality, professional, public safety service to this community. We continue to hold our staff accountable and we demand excellence. We expect problem solving in lieu of problem creation here.

We also have amazing, dedicated people in our Community Based Organizations. The Community Foundation, Hollister Youth Alliance, Kinship, Community Solutions and First-5 San Benito are just a few of our partners.

Lastly, we have a professional, dedicated group of men and women who work in our office. I will hold them to the highest standards and only employ people worthy of public trust. We look forward to your partnership with us.
