San Benito County is embarking on the journey of updating its Safety Element, a key Element of the County’s General Plan that addresses how the community prepares for and responds to natural and human-made hazards. The Safety Element identifies hazards such as wildfires, flooding, earthquakes, and extreme heat and outlines strategies to reduce their impact on people, property, and critical infrastructure.
