Help make San Benito County healthier, more livable, and more sustainable! The San Benito County Green Business Program provides free technical assistance and step-by-step guidance to help local businesses achieve California Green Business Certification. 

Green Business Certification demonstrates your commitment to environmental stewardship while helping reduce operating costs. Certified businesses voluntarily implement best practices in energy and water conservation, pollution prevention, waste reduction, toxics reduction, employee commute options, and environmental education. 

Our staff works directly with participating businesses to guide them through the certification process and connect them with available resources, making it easier to get certified and operate more efficiently.

STEP 1

Register & Apply

Starting is easy. Register at greenbusinessca.org and fill out the application. We ask some basic questions about your business. Take your time! There’s no rush.

STEP 2

Get Assistance

A Green Business coordinator will reach out to review your application, schedule a site visit, help you with items that might prove more challenging, and put you in touch with potential rebates and free technical assistance.

STEP 3

Complete your application

Once you’ve completed all items on the checklist, you’ll earn your Green Business Certification. You’ll then be listed on our directory (search.greenbusinessca.org), get invites to community networking events, and receive FREE promotions.
