The Housing Programs Division is responsible for assisting with affordable housing programs and services in the community.

On April 1, 2025, the California Department of Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) provided a letter to the County stating that the County’s Housing Element is completed and meets the statutory requirements of State Housing Element Law. The County held Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors Public Hearings on April 30, 2025, and May 20, 2025, respectively. On May 20, 2025, the Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a Resolution to adopt the 2023-2031 County of San Benito Housing Element. The County is proud to present this Final Draft which was compiled with the recommendations and feedback from the San Benito County community.
