Cannabis Business Permit Application Information

The San Benito County Board of Supervisors adopted the following amendments to the Cannabis Business Regulatory Program on December 10, 2024. These amendments to San Benito County Code will be effective 30 days after approval on January 9th, 2025:

• Chapter 7.02 Cannabis Business - Redline Amendments
• Chapter 7.04 Hemp Entities - Redline Amendments (The Hemp Cultivation Map below has been updated)
• Chapter 19.43 Cannabis Business Land Use Regulations - Redline Amendments

The San Benito County Board or Supervisors adopted the following amendments to the Cannabis Business Regulatory Program Application Fee Schedule on December 10, 2024. These amendments to the application fees will be effective 60 days after approval on February 8, 2025:

• Cannabis Application Fee Schedule - Redline Amendments

The San Benito County Board of Supervisors adopted an exemption to the Cannabis Cultivation Tax until December 2026 during a regularly scheduled meeting on February 25th 2025. These amendments to the cannabis tax ordinance will be effective 30 days after approval on March 27, 2025.

Application Appointments

One (1) electronic copy of all required materials must be submitted to sbcplan@sanbenitocountyca.gov and one (1) original copy of all required materials must be submitted in one package together with the fee at the Resource Management Agency located at 2301 Technology Parkway.

Applicants MUST schedule an appointment to drop off their application and fee. Contact the Planning and Land Use Division:
