The County of San Benito is sharing the following traffic advisory on behalf of the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA).
Construction activities for the US 101/SR 25 Interchange Project will continue Monday, July 13 through Friday, July 17 in Gilroy.
✅ No lane, highway, or ramp closures are scheduled during this time. However, motorists should expect daytime construction activity and are encouraged to slow down, stay alert, and follow posted traffic signs.

El Condado de San Benito comparte el siguiente aviso de tráfico en nombre de la Autoridad de Transporte del Valle de Santa Clara (VTA).
Las actividades de construcción del Proyecto del Intercambio US 101/SR 25 continuarán del lunes 13 al viernes 17 de julio en Gilroy.
✅ No habrá cierres programados de carriles, autopistas ni rampas durante este período. Sin embargo, los conductores pueden esperar actividad de construcción durante el día y se les recomienda reducir la velocidad, mantenerse atentos y seguir toda la señalización de tránsito.

🚗⚡ The Monterey Bay Air Resources District’s 2026–27 Electric Vehicle Incentive Program (EVIP) is now open!
Residents, public agencies, and nonprofit organizations in Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz counties may qualify for incentives when purchasing or leasing eligible new or used electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Additional incentives are available for qualifying low-income applicants.
📅 Eligible purchases or leases must be made on or after July 1, 2026.

The Safety Element is an important update to the County's General Plan and helps guide how San Benito County prepares for and responds to natural and human-caused hazards, including:

✔️ Earthquakes
✔️ Drought
✔️ Climate change
✔️ Emergency preparedness and community resilience

🚨 Help Protect San Benito County from Invasive Pests! 🚨
If you purchased a grapevine plant from Costco between April 21 and May 21, 2026, please inspect it for signs of the Glassy-Winged Sharpshooter (GWSS)—an invasive pest that can spread disease to grapevines and other plants.
🔎 Look for:
• Egg masses
• Very small immature insects
• Adult insects (about ½ inch long)
If you find signs of GWSS:
✅ Contact the San Benito County Agriculture Department immediately.
❌ Do not move, return, or throw away the plant.
🛍️ Double-bag the plant until you receive further instructions.

The County of San Benito is sharing the following traffic advisory on behalf of the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA).
Motorists traveling through the US 101 and SR 25 interchange in Gilroy should expect possible delays and reduced speeds during construction activities from June 29 through July 3.
Please allow extra travel time, slow down in the construction zone, watch for construction vehicles, and follow all posted traffic control signs and directions.
No on- or off-ramp closures are currently scheduled.

Los conductores que transiten por el intercambio de la US 101 y la SR 25 en Gilroy deben anticipar posibles retrasos y reducción de velocidad debido a actividades de construcción del 29 de junio al 3 de julio.
Por favor, permita tiempo adicional para su viaje, reduzca la velocidad al pasar por la zona de construcción, manténgase atento a los vehículos de trabajo y siga toda la señalización e instrucciones del personal de control de tráfico.
Actualmente no hay cierres programados de rampas de entrada o salida.
