San Benito County Board of Supervisors Declares County as “Home of Pinnacles National Park"

SAN BENITO COUNTY, CA – At its regularly scheduled meeting on January 13, 2026, the San Benito County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a proclamation declaring San Benito County as the “Home of Pinnacles National Park.” This action is part of a broader branding strategy aimed at strengthening the County’s identity, promoting tourism, and supporting economic development.

The Board also adopted a resolution to incorporate the slogan “Home of Pinnacles National Park” into official County communications, including the County seal, website, newsletters, social media platforms, and marketing materials.

As part of this initiative, the County unveiled an updated County Seal featuring the slogan “Home of Pinnacles National Park”, which will serve as a cornerstone of the County’s branding efforts and will be integrated into official documents, signage, and promotional materials to create a consistent and recognizable identity.

As we move forward, San Benito County is committed to gradually increasing its visibility through multiple strategic avenues, including:

  • Community Engagement: Working closely with residents, businesses, and local organizations to foster pride and participation in the County’s new identity.
  • Collaborative Partnerships: Building strong relationships with the County’s incorporated cities and the National Park Service to amplify outreach efforts.
  • Media Outreach: Sharing the County’s story through press releases, regional media coverage, and digital platforms to attract visitors and increase economic development.•
  • Signage and Promotional Materials: Installing branded signage and producing brochures and merchandise (subject to funding availability).

These efforts aim to create a unified identity that celebrates San Benito County’s unique connection to Pinnacles National Park and enhances the County’s appeal as a destination for both visitors and businesses.
